In portraying the museum’s collection, Meisel appropriates the formal language of the exhibition photo documentation to create a fashion editorial that personifies (a model poses styled in luxury garments) the tension between artwork and representation, fashion and art, high and low, reality and fiction—as Andy would have wanted.
