A&F Quarterly: The Sex Ed Issue (EdK 001)

The Slavoj Žižek x Bruce Weber collision brought to life a very peculiar issue of the A&F Quarterly. Titled “The Sex Ed Issue,” the September 2003 issue of said quarterly sees the Slovenian philosopher contributing an essay about hyper-sexualized teenagers alongside Weber’s depiction of preppy collegiates amid hormonal turbulence—a controversial language that became Abercrombie & Fitch’s signature image-making. A clash as unexpected as it was iconic, the issue remains a cult to this day, now bootleg-reprinted as a slightly scaled-down version of the original, 126 pages, 19×24 format.
